Ronnie Hays' Recurring Folly
WHO?
Ronnie Hays... lone sojourner... musical refugee. His formative years began in the 1960s folk era and ended with the humiliatation of spandex, dog collers, and pink can Aqua Net in the late 1980s. Joyfully immersed in parenthood since the early 90s, Ronnie Hays has some catching up to do. In the lost years, however, the real Ronnie Hays appeared from nowhere screaming about being "all backed up" (creatively, that is).
WHAT?
With a juxtaposition of influences from Americana Folk, Country-AND-Western, Motown, FM Album Rock, and Hair Metal, Ronnie Hays concocts a unique brand of sonic experience he calls "Prairie Soul." He says Woke Again is merely a hint of what is to come... he's backed up, you see... it'll take a while to purge.
WHERE?
Ronnie Hays generally manifests physical form in the Western states of North America. Usually originating in Hays, Kansas (hence... the moniker). From there he has traveled with his guitar from places such as Dharan, Saudi Arabia to Durango, Colorado. Anyhoo...... he turned 60 last April, and he says he's "tanned, rested, and ready" to rock till such time as he drops.
